So off to the rheumatologist I went on Friday the thirteenth ( it really should have been a clue) to be told that I had inflammatory arthritis, this would have been bad enough but eighteen months ago I was told that I didn’t have it, even though I had been treated for it, for the preceding 7 years! To add insult to injury I now have to go back on Methotrexate, which is a chemotherapy drug used to treat this type of arthritis!!!l
This should be the moment where I tell you that when life gives you lemons blah, blah, blah- nope we are not doing that, I find a bit of retail therapy and indulgence works better! I know that if I look better, I feel better, so this is what I did ……….
I dyed my hair pink, I’ve wanted to for a long time and even though it’s come out a bit strong, I love it!
I bought new skincare, I went for Lulu’s TimeBomb, this is specifically aimed at anti ageing and giving you a glow, and I also went for some of their hair care to inject some volume into my thin ( soon to be thinner!) hair, it also makes me laugh that the products are given military names…….
Then comes this little beauty…..
This is from a collaboration between Olivia Palermo and Ciate, I love the smouldering colours, here’s a swatch on my fair skin….
But smouldering colours are no good unless there is a great base, so off I went to Clinique for their Even Better foundation…but whoopsie I bought a far too dark shade…..
Never mind, it will be used in the summer! So after all the primping and volumising…..
So, here I am Methotrexate, and this time i’m ready for you, bring it on!
